Re: World Health Organization declares coronavirus outbreak a 'pandemic'
Which vaccine is the best? There’s no “best vaccine” option. Ya, I'm going to have to disagree on the "there's no best vaccine" option . I think one or two are better options - for us , the ones getting the shots into arms, and not the logistics of transport and storage (and oh ya, cost)....

Re: Passing the Time at Home
Amazingly bright (albeit cool, which is normal), sunny day today. Forecast is mixed over the next 14 days or so, but the days are getting longer, and the sun is getting higher in the sky, for better walking conditions around town. Although, with the days getting warmer and the sun being higher in th...

Re: World Health Organization declares coronavirus outbreak a 'pandemic'
Now I'm really getting confused. AstraZeneca is now approved for use here in Canada. It's reported to be cheaper per dose (attractive to governments), easier to store (attractive for the logistics of deploying and storing), but it's "efficacy" seems to be notably less than the Moderna, Pfi...

Re: World Health Organization declares coronavirus outbreak a 'pandemic'
Update: Just confirmed our rental for next February down south. Even though the money can be refunded by mid January if need be, the Gov't and medical communities better get their acts together and get those needles in arms lickety split: up here, and down south!!

Re: Passing the Time at Home
Even the weather man on our local station indicated (albeit a little hesitantly) that the bulk of winter is over for us and the big storms are most likely, done with. Hey, there's no one that wants winter to "done with" more than me, but for the love of Joe, even near the end of February, ...

Re: World Health Organization declares coronavirus outbreak a 'pandemic'
With the constantly changing order of " who gets a shot and when ", at least here, the evening news indicates that we are lagging behind. I don't know what the actual numbers are, but apparently it isn't great. What I've come to understand, is that when there is a target month that I will ...

Re: Passing the Time at Home
I'm going to be tackling the exercise area in the basement. I've got a few things packed in that area as well, but the kids use it mostly, and there are weight plates, dumbbells such strewn about. I originally wanted to separate the recreation room and this exercise area with a wall when we had the ...

Re: World Health Organization declares coronavirus outbreak a 'pandemic'
Now in the news: "region hoppers" from locked down areas are travelling to areas that are now open. Sheesh! What's the point of keeping one area closed, if all you have to do is cross the street, and shop at business that are now open?? I realize businesses in open areas want more traffic ...

Re: World Health Organization declares coronavirus outbreak a 'pandemic'
So, our region is now out of "lockdown" as of today, and while "open", we have to follow some restrictive conditions. The problem with this "opening", is that while our specific area within the region is rated as "good" in terms of reduced infections, hospital...
