Re: Saving on Groceries
When i bought groceries a couple of days ago, there didn't seem to be a problem with products, they had all the products they normally have.
I think that people might be less panicking, and only buy what they need now.

Re: Saving on Groceries
I've tried Walmart online grocery ordering for outside pickup, but cannot even get a date once going thru the ordering process. You'd think the programmers would have the smarts code in some messaging to the effect there's "no window for pickup at this time" or similar, so we users don't have to go thru the process of picking all the items, going to checkout, only them find that the order cannot be picked up. Sheesh!

Re: Saving on Groceries
Never used a grocery pickup service. We have a friend that does.
Just checked with the Boss. Here you tell them a desired time and they text when it is ready. Then you text them and and tell them which numbered space you are in and they bring it out.
Maybe your store is just backed up with orders.
But I do agree you should be warned if they are unable to process orders.

Re: Saving on Groceries
I've never tried the grocery pickup. Unless they hire more staff (and they should because their doing a great business these days), and allow you to book a pickup within a few days or so, I'm not going to use the service. Unless - there's a mandated quarantine for everyone, that is.

Re: Saving on Groceries
I went to Longo's to pick up some fruit the other day. I must have swallowed, and I guess a little went down the wind pipe, causing a bit of a coughing incident. Luckily, no one was in the aisle I was in.

I went out to get some of that cheap gas and to a drive thru tobacco store. Started coughing at the stop light and could see the panic in adjacent cars.
Gas 1.49 USG and no where to go.

Re: Saving on Groceries
I always feel better when my car has a full tank of gas (maybe old age is at fault here - don't know for sure why) so I make a point to fill up when the price of gas is reasonable, and did so the other day. Best price in years.
