I've actually been watching news, both here and in the US since February. The "Voice of reason" isn't reaching that group of obstinate people. Nothing that anyone is saying is helping them to understand. When told by the highest level of medical authority, that this virus is bad, it can hurt you, maybe even take your life, they just say it's fake news or a hoax.

This issue is not even about what is better, vs what is not. It's about life and death.

Point: In a video my son found, there was a person in a hospital bed, on a ventilator, within hours of death. And that person is still going on about how this virus (that is about to take their life) is fake news and a hoax. It's on video, and if it were not so grossly, abhorrently, disgustingly wrong, I'd find and supply the link.

Nuf said.

@Colbyt:
So where does the line go, it's ok if we call other people idiots, but if they sign up to this forum and call us idiots then it's wrong? Is that the double moral we are going to use on the forum? I do my best to respect the restrictions we have to respect when it comes to COVID-19, but i am not afraid to say i do once in while make a human mistake when it comes to COVID-19 does that make me an idiot?

Everyone can make a mistake. I actually got to close to a lady for her comfort in the checkout line at the grocery. She pointed out my error and I moved back.

The people referred to in LMD and my posts were the deniers and in no way were directed at people who make a simple mistake. We all know who they are and the mentality they represent.
So where does the line go, it's ok if we call other people idiots, but if they sign up to this forum and call us idiots then it's wrong?
Absolutely no one was personally attacked. A group of actions was demonstrated and those actions were labeled. I doubt you habitually do those things. If you do then you are in that class. This is a "if the shoe fits then you wear it" type of thing.

If this forum isn't going to be the type of place where honest opinions can not be expressed without personal attacks, then I probably don't belong here.

I just don't want this place to turn into a place where we call each other idiots, that was one of the things i liked about V7N, we where not allowed to do that. If this forum is going to turn in to a place where people call each other idiots, then i will not be a part of it for the long run.

This was not a "personal attach", it's just on V7N we would most likely have issued a warning in such a case, so i really do need to know where the limit goes so i can do my job as a moderator. But i think i do get the limit now.

Ok, I'm partly to blame here for the conversation going a bit sideways. Here's a different explanation (tongue in cheek):
Ugh - I've tried again following the direction here, but realize I should have trunkated the URl following JHR's example in this thread: post3809.html#p3809

She is damned no matter what she does. We have a few Provincial orders in place till Monday. People are finding loop holes... We are all suffering because of a few...

This is why we're in such a mess.

I just read our region may be shut down - again, just like the GTA. Thanks in whole or in part, to those who are ignoring the health department advice just to feel better socializing.

Not to add fuel to the fire, I thought I'd post that one of our Provincial Premiers up here, had an emotional message on television telling those that don't believe in Covid health measures, or that Covid is a hoax, are i***ts. I'll leave this word to the imagination. ;)

Word-for-word. I kid you not.
