It's official now, Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a pandemic.
In a press conference Wednesday morning, WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said what has been increasingly obvious for weeks: The novel coronavirus that has swept the world, infecting more than 120,000 people in more than 100 countries, is a pandemic.
“WHO has been assessing this outbreak around the clock and we’re deeply concerned both by the alarming levels of spread and severity and the alarming levels of inaction. We have therefore made the assessment that Covid-19 can be characterized by “pandemic,” Tedros said, going on to argue that the designation did not mean the situation was hopeless: “All countries can still change the course of this pandemic.”

I've been doing the math every time I see stats so I want to make a new headline;
96.5% of the infected recover with no problems.
Please help me spread this headline. It may not earn us ratings but it is the truth.

I would tell you how much unrealized gains I've lost since 2-20-20 but I don't want to brag.
Get ready for more today at least as bad as yesterday.

I remember the S&P benchmark of not dipping below 2700 was an indicator it could weather the storm, and keep a resession at bay.
That was then, and this 2500 ish now, is so f'ed up, I've stopped looking.

Not a bad choice. Probably less upsetting.

Thousands of people have died.
Tens of thousands of people are infected from mile to critical states.
Pro Hockey, Basketball, Baseball, Soccer, tournaments for all non professional sports are all now suspended.
Other entertainment venues closed or closing.
Public schools have now been shut down for at least the next 30 days
Markets have taken a bad bath.
We're going to be stocking up on food, medicine etc.
Trillions of dollars lost - gone - poof!
All because someone ate/handled infected weird food somewhere in the far corner of the world.

Sad but true.
I ranted about that a bit the other night.
