Up really early today. It didn't cool down much over night even with a fan blowing cool air in.

It's going to be a long day...

I take it as no AC at your place?

I feel for you.

Two days without AC during a heat-wave a while back (furnace motor seized), cause us all to sleep in the basement. It's finished down there, but the pull-out couch mattress is about a 1.5, on the scale comfort.

I can't remember how we managed as kids. I guess we did Ok, but the head upstairs without the AC was unbearable - window open with ceiling fan on or not. I do remember, as a kid, sleeping out on the front porch on an air mattress one really hot night.

No AC. Not worth installing for just a couple of weeks worth of hot weather a year. Besides a good way to loose weight. Too hot to eat. Too hot to cook.

I don't have an AC either, but we usually don't get that warm weather over here, but we have had a few days with around 30°C/86°F, and that is a bit to hot for my liking :)

I have two fans in my window blowing air into my apartment, but i usually close my windows before going to bed.

We had window fans and tried to sleep in the draft. I do recall a some miserable nights.

I admire your attitude. I suspected you might say not worth it. Some place we stayed in Alaska had no AC for the first of your reasons. Naturally we happened to be there on one of those few nights.

I also suspected you might not at your latitude. Often it is the humidity that makes us miserable. I recall walking downtown in Vegas at well over 100F (actual) and not being all that uncomfortable.

I know what mean, we also have some rare days with high humidity, but probably not on the scale you have over there. It's not pleasant.
