Maybe this one will move so fast that it burns itself out.

Re: Passing the Time at Home
I live on a "court", and spent the afternoon yesterday watching the heavy machinery removing the snow we received a week ago. All the snow was piled up in one area on the court. Eight dump trucks were filled, removed most that was piled up. I guess now it's a little easier for the garbage/recycle trucks to get around the court. Firetruck access, I'm sure, is also a consideration in this activity.
On the Omicron scene, tests are almost impossible to get, unless you line up at some various distribution locations at 6am, to get a box of 5 tests hopefully before noon, or before the supply runs out and you have to go home empty-handed. I was kind of lucky that I ordered a box of tests in November from an distributor here, which I received in December, before the government hijacked the supply around the country.

Re: Passing the Time at Home
We did have a little bit of snow a few days ago, but it's long gone. So i guess you're still getting some snow over there?.

Re: Passing the Time at Home
I am fairly sure LMD is getting his normal share.
Here we have more falling then the last few years but nothing to become excited about.
The ice storms are far worse than the snow. Depending on the wind patterns we may get some of that on Thursday evening.

By the time I got the raised hearth cleared of the clutter I would be too tired to enjoy it.J. H. Rasmussen wrote: ↑Tue Feb 01, 2022 12:40 pm Then i guess you will have nice day in your home on Thursday, and maybe light the fireplace if you have one

Re: Passing the Time at Home
That does not mean you have to share it by passing that Arctic blast down here.

Re: Passing the Time at Home
So, if the jet stream dips south as it hits the west coast, it allows the arctic air to creep south. Then, that cold air usually travels along the stream, and gets to us a day or so later. They call some of those storms "Alberta clippers". Meaning they form over Alberta and travel quickly along the jet stream. It's the "Texas Lows" that come up from the south with all sorts of active weather that are worth watching out for.
