How far away are your neighbours in relation to your property?

100 feet or so. 7 AM weekdays is the legal starting time to not be in violation of the noise ordnance. 9 AM on the weekends.

A battery operated drill does not make much noise.

We got the exterior of the house painted.

We FINALLY got some rain! Not much but at least it is cooler now.

Was pretty hard getting anything done in the heat. Hanging baskets are not too great. Maybe they will recover again...

Grass is a mess. Even with watering the allowed 2x a week there is an awful lot of dry patches.

Did you know that running to the Walmart (or where ever) to pick up an electric knife is next to impossible! Finally found one at Canadian Tire after looking at 3 different stores. No wonder brick and mortar stores are going broke. They don't have stuff for "I don't have time or money for delivery" purchases.

Other than shopping for food and pharma products, I'd say we're about 75-25 in terms of buying online, vs going to an actual store. The requirements for free shipping (usually price point/number of products) has been lower for a while now, but not sure if I see that amount going up or not.

In terms of product pricing, I've noticed basic things have gone up, and I know that haircuts at Great Clips have increased about $5.00. Gas is still very high 1.33 something per liter, and for sure, I'm spending a lot more on household utilities with 4 of us at home. Sure the kids travel expenses and I guess clothing expenses is practically "0", but those retired are paying a lot more for things. Sure there was a "one-time" payment for seniors given by the government to off-set cost of living (or whatever it was for), but it was for those over 75. I don't get that age requirement qualification. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Consumer price index is expected to be up in this province by 3.7%. Pensions here are up a smidge over 1%. Don't have to write a program to figure out what that means.
