Re: Passing the Time at Home
It's been a functional work space for a while now. I just have to purge probably close to 80% of the "stuff" that's in cupboards, shelves and filing cabinets. Such a beautiful weekend though, and such a shame my back is aching again. (Nod nod. Wink wink)

Back pain is never fun, I hope it will get better for you. Be careful not to lift to much at the time, when you carry stuff down to the basement.

Re: Passing the Time at Home
Painting project finished other than touch ups.
We did not have rain for over 50 days! Rained last night and a bit this am. It was so hot it was hard to get anything done.
Have cushions to make now for the deck benches.
It is so quiet in here without 3 fans running. LOL

Re: Passing the Time at Home
Piecing together Ikea storage cabinets for the "no-longer-my-office" area. What a treat.
For the first of two cabinets, I used the wrong whirly-gig screwy parts that were supposed to be used in another part of the unit. Good thing I bought two of those cabinets to put together. So, I've borrowed the correct parts from the second box so I could finish putting the first unit together. AS such, I've had to order those borrowed metal parts from customer service, and have to wait for them to be delivered here so I can put the second unit together.
Did I mention what a treat it is?

Re: Passing the Time at Home
We've got the heat and humidity from out west that settled in a couple of days ago, and it'll be around for another 5 or 6 days. Temps will be at or around 29 or 30C, but the "feels like" temps are closer to 37C. I don't really mind it too much as it's just planning around the heat - getting any "outside" stuff done in the morning, and by the afternoon the backyard is shaded. So, by then, it's easy just to pull out a book, read for a bit, and sometimes have a snooze - especially if we've played 9 holes in the morning.

Re: Passing the Time at Home
Thanks, but another 4 or 5 days of tropical hot weather in store. Didn't even get outside for more than 20 minutes today. Missed the whole day.
