Re: Passing the Time at Home
The existing shed renovation continues. Shelves and workbench almost done.
It's a long weekend here coming up so maybe some yard work if the rain holds off.
Might be able to get some golf in too.

Re: Passing the Time at Home
Still waiting for word on my club order. If I get them early next month, I'll still have to use the Simulator to get new distances as our outdoor ranges aren't open yet.

Picked up the new irons today. And do they look and feel nice. Will be watching the Masters starting tomorrow, but our club range won't be open for another two weeks.

Hmm, might have a new project. Sliding door (which we use all the time) is acting up...

Re: Passing the Time at Home
Mine was acting up last year. Had a heck of a time getting it off to lubricate the wheels. Put it back on, and it still wasn't sliding very well. I was going to call around for a new one, but the lube finally freed up the wheels and its still going good this year.

Lubricating didn't cause dirt to collect on the wheels? (I had already thought of cleaning and lubricating) I was thinking we need new wheels.

Re: Passing the Time at Home
By lubrication, I didn't mean "gumming" up the wheels with grease, I meant spraying them with a lubricant type product. WD40 type of canned spray, or a garage lube spray type of product. It worked for me. I think I'll just make it a thing to do twice per season - spray the wheels. Our glass sliders are on the big side, so everything (even the screen sliders) cost more to replace than average - or so I'm told.
If you can replace the wheels, sure, that would be the thing to do. I couldn't figure out how to remove mine. They were builder screens, and probably not the best.

Re: Passing the Time at Home
Older junior and his GF, together, decided to get a little pupper. His GF's previous dog passed in January, and she felt a need to get another dog. So, she and junior decided to get one from a local breeder. The pup is living at her place right now, and they're bringing him over here on Saturday hopefully only breaking in my lawn with it's "business", and not the rugs inside.

If frozen or icky from old oil I would use a penetrating oil like PB Blaster or liquid wrench (WD in a pinch). Then for lubrication I would use a spray silicone. You might also use a light machine oil but I feel like I get less buildup with the silicone.
While you have the door or screen down scrub the track really well and resist the urge to lube it.

Re: Passing the Time at Home
Went out to the local driving range yesterday, as our club range won't be open till next week. The new clubs make a real difference, but not obvious distance increases because the wind gusts were pretty wicked yesterday. It seems with unusually good weather, there is normal weather in behind it, and it comes in with a lot of bravado.
Tomorrow looks absolutely perfect and we get to meet Henry, my son and his GF's new pupper.
