A li-ion charger needs to start by charging the battery with a constant current until it reaches the voltage it needs to be at. Then the constant voltage charging happens until the battery charges with less then 3% of its initial charging current, and the battery charging should stop..
How is your project going?

Its going fine, almost finish with the current charging part, now i need to make a stable 8,4 volts voltage so the battery don't get over charged. I will build that with a LM393 comparator IC, a zener diode a resistor, and the mosfet IRF4905 that needs to output 8.4 volts. I'm using the IRF4905 because i have so many of them.

Sounds like Greek to me.

I love electronics. I just don't want to have to understand the inner workings of most gadgets.

Got the first fertilizing of the season down on the lawn yesterday, and was tempted to uncover and set up the outside furniture. But a quick look at 7-day forecast isn't showing much out-door sitting weather just yet. We're getting a dose of "April showers" in March, along with up and down temperatures for the next couple of weeks. It's been the driest march in a long time here so the trees, flowers that haven't yet peaked out of the ground just yet, along with the grass and shrubs need the rain.

No word on the order from TaylorMade yet. :o I'm hearing stories online of orders being delayed from all manufacturers. :(

I must assume you are doing that for the challenge as they aren't all that expensive to buy. :)

Electronics is the one thing I never dabbled with.
