Re: Passing the Time at Home
Well, looking out the window this afternoon, the song, "It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas" comes to mind. I guess Wiarton Willie must have gotten into the hooch before surfacing last month.

Add: Wind warnings of up to 80 km/h here. Don't think I'll be walking outside today.

Re: Passing the Time at Home
It was lovely here today. A balmy 10C.
Rain coming back again tomorrow night for a few days.
Mini daffodils and crocuses coming up in the side yard.
Our spare room project continues. Battery operated drills suck!

We're beginning to see the grass more and more with each day passing. Next week, if you believe the weather people, suggests high single digit temps. If that keeps up (which I don't believe it will) the snow will be gone in a week. I don't anticipate the crocuses peaking out of the ground here for at least another couple/few weeks.

Re: Passing the Time at Home
Spring is here on Monday, even though not the true/actual meteorological occasion of spring. I'll let you guess why.

Yeah! I suspect it is not far away. We still have a large football sized Bergie out on the deck from the 24"+ drift of sleet that accumulated against our back door but the rest of all the yards are clear and starting to green.

Re: Passing the Time at Home
What's interesting is, these days if you want to get your car washed, it's not the snow and slush that causes it to get dirty again, it's the road dust. By "road dust", I mean the loads of sand that's been mixed with salt that the big trucks would put down on the streets while plowing after snow events, has now turned into layers of dust. My garage and home entrance ways are a dusty, sandy mess. I have to sweep the entrance ways every day or so.
Sometime in late April the town's street sweepers come out and try to clean up the layer of sand and dust on the streets. It's rather comical to see this cloud of dust that envelops the cleaning machine as it moves down the street. I imagine there would be some danger pay involved for operators running those machines.

Re: Passing the Time at Home
Expecting some really nice weather this weekend and well into next week. This is apparently the "driest" March we've had here in a long time. The ground is still fine though after the snow melt, because of the excess amount of snow that accumulated in February. But the soil will need the expected rain we expect to get by Wednesday/Thursday. Up here, at least I have been waiting and anticipating this nice weather since last November. I may even break out the front porch chairs today, which will be a task and a half as all of the outside furniture, including dining table, chairs, lounge chairs and tables etc. are all bundled with bungee cords together under a big tarp in the backyard.

Re: Passing the Time at Home
Got a drainage problem solved this week.
Got rid of some more junk. Big Bros came on Friday.
Worked on putting things back to where they belong after our little renovation.
Planning projects for the summer. If it ever stops raining!

I'm currently creating a li-ion charger, it is a fun diy project
A li-ion charger needs to start by charging the battery with a constant current until it reaches the voltage it needs to be at. Then the constant voltage charging happens until the battery charges with less then 3% of its initial charging current, and the battery charging should stop..
