I'm going to be tackling the exercise area in the basement. I've got a few things packed in that area as well, but the kids use it mostly, and there are weight plates, dumbbells such strewn about. I originally wanted to separate the recreation room and this exercise area with a wall when we had the basement renovated, but DW wouldn't go for it, stating that leaving it open, was a better feel for the basement. I then suggested we use folding room-dividers, just to separate the rooms, but not make them feel closed in. That was shot down too, so I just let it go. The topic of room dividers has come up again, and I'm feeling a little Deja vu.

With folding room dividers/screens you can at least move them closer to the exercise area when more room required in the rest of the room and still hide the "mess" of the equipment. ;)

My pond is just outside the kitchen nook. No point in having one if you can't see it. :)

The great thaw finally came and I chipped up the foot of ice that prevented me from backing out of the garage. Freedom!

Even the weather man on our local station indicated (albeit a little hesitantly) that the bulk of winter is over for us and the big storms are most likely, done with. Hey, there's no one that wants winter to "done with" more than me, but for the love of Joe, even near the end of February, never say winter is done! So, so, so much can still happen!! :o

Amazingly bright (albeit cool, which is normal), sunny day today. Forecast is mixed over the next 14 days or so, but the days are getting longer, and the sun is getting higher in the sky, for better walking conditions around town. Although, with the days getting warmer and the sun being higher in the sky, the snow packs are melting during the day, and the resulting water (on the sidewalks) usually freezes overnight making the sidewalks very slick in various places early in the mornings!

Note: just got a new pair of glasses and the transitional effects of the lenses going dark in the sunlight, then clear when inside, is really remarkable. My last set of transitional lenses were good, for sure, but these (4 years newer) are much darker outside and the transition from light to dark, then dark to light is much faster too.

Well our spare room project is going slowly... The primer stinks like Kilz so we have headaches.

Still deciding where to put everything when putting room back together.

No white paint paws - yet. One of the kittens isn't so good at avoiding wet litter though so we have paw prints from the litter box down the hall...
