Big snowfall expected overnight here and into tomorrow. Weather map shows this storm stretching all the way from Alabama up to Ohio. A lot of power outages for millions as I understand it. Looks like it's headed Colbyt's way. Stay safe friend!

Went out for a few groceries i should have gotten yesterday, but didn't. Heading out for a walk. Might be the last one outside for a few days. I hope older junior hasn't broken the treadmill in the basement while using it recently. ;)

Huh? You're location is over 6000km from here (North America), is it not? I don't think our weather affects your area. ;)

You can blame the UK or Netherlands.

Our weather normally feeds from west to east or from the south/south west. Sometimes in a strong overhead "low", the weather (usually bad weather) can spin like a spinning wheel on the spot (moving slowly) and it can come in from the east periodically.

And how did you know the exact distance, you're probably in on it (just kidding) ;)

So you are working together with the UK and the Netherlands to get us that weather ;)

Honestly, i have no idea where what weather comes from. When i need to get out, i take a look outside my window, if there is nobody building snowmen then i assume it's safe to go out ;)

Controlling weather is currently science fiction. Otherwise we'd just see it rain at night, and sunny during the day. ;)

Re the distance, I chose Copenhagen, and my PC chose my location, and it shows as 6214Km, to be exact.

I just looked at the Weather Network app, chose Copenhagen, and then looked at the Precip/radar function. Yep, your weather is originating out in the ocean, then over the UK, then Netherlands.

There are some pretty good weather contraptions you can get into from $50 or so, to well into the hundreds that'll give you all sorts of interesting local weather data. I've been looking at one that's around $175 and has all sorts of weather info - some pretty accurate, and other data might be a bit of a "flip a coin". It's just for fun. So, it's either that weather contraption, or a telescope. I can't decide between them right now.

Weather don't interest me that much :) But i can see your dilemma having to chose between the weather contraption or the telescope. It's important to have the right data and equipment to take full advantage of your interest :)

Got the new modem and TV box installed.

It snowed here all day yesterday so house bound in front of the TV while waiting for the laptop to install new version of Windows 10 and Office.

Today it was misty rain all day. Washing snow away... Could be dangerous for those driving to work tomorrow am. A lot of the States got hit hard this weekend. Just saw 14 states with power issues. Texas being the worst.

We have not been above freezing for over a week (very unusual). Add in a couple of ice storms and then a sleet storm last and it is about as bad as it gets around here. Not much hope for improvement until at least the weekend.

Well, February is proving to be a fairly nasty month. Big snow overnight and into today. More snow Thursday, into Friday, and yet another storm brewing for Monday. Although, I don't know how they're predicting the snowfall next Monday. Spinning wheel? Rock, paper, scissors? :?

Good to hear you are ok Colby. Hope our friends in Texas are ok. All over the news here that a lot of the States is in a bad way with the weather.

Sun came out here and melted all the snow we had on the weekend. Supposed to be nice today and then rain for a week!
