You are right LMD. The inability to "kill" COVID is a people problem. If everyone just stayed home it would help so much. Some are not fortunate enough to be able to work from home so the rest of us need to behave so they don't get sick.

I have some gift money to spend on myself. Really tempted to go out just to get out of the house but that would hypocritical of what I said above so I'm staying home and puttering around taking care of chores...

The good news is that the 2 areas where we had to worst cases have brought the numbers down. The rest of the province numbers are going up though.

We still have our Xmas lights up and turn them on at dusk. Are people around you doing that too?

I've taken down the railing lights and wreaths, but still have the upper lights up. In fact, I don't take them down now, so they stay up all year. They're the clear lights, so it's not conspicuous looking. Many around here are doing the same. I wouldn't leave them up if they were coloured lights or the icicle lights. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Long-range forecast indicates winter weather will be arriving here on Saturday -10C for a high, and -17C overnight into Sunday. It was a nice run. We had only one day this month at, or below the expected normal highs/lows. Scheiße!

always a lot more fun to put them up then it is to take them down.

Xmas lights got taken down on Monday because it was dry.

Puttering around yard and taking stuff to community garbage before it rains again.

There are plants poking their heads out already.

Might have snow on the weekend so getting in a round of golf today although it will be cloudy.

It's a bit early for plants to be poking their heads out of the ground, isn't it. Extended warm spell where you are?

It has been mild. Guess they will be confused when the cold front comes at the end of the week that might bring some snow.

We're getting ready for a cold spell starting Saturday. No plants poking their heads out of the snow around here. ;)

Lovely and sunny here today (but cold). Snow coming tonight so stocked up yesterday in case it is worse than they are predicting.
