That's the way to torture the poor fellar. Tell him every time you enjoy your moderate weather and golf. :)

It gives me more time to ponder how to play better when I do get out to play again. I will tell you one thing, some of the FB "golf" groups can be horrendously wicked to posters who ask less than scholarly questions and also to those who answer with less than appropriate answers.

I've had my 10 day trial of 2021 and I want my money back. I'm just not pleased at all.

From what I've heard where I am, for DW and myself, they've updated the time for needles in arms could be 2 or 3 months earlier than what was being stated previously on the news. So, that's good news for us.

I've also head that some of our brethren and sistren (snow birds) are able to get in line for vaccine shots down in Florida. I'd expect locals to be first in line, but mighty nice of authorities to allow them to get in line for the shot.

It seems that there are all sorts of grumblings in the news today, online etc, about people upset about the current lockdown measures. The guy in charge now admits the previous Covid-19 lockdown wasn't strong enough. So, the population is now looking at these new guidelines to see exactly what is Ok to do in and around our areas, and what isn't. The most forceful words that are stated, shouted are - "STAY AT HOME". Except for groceries, pharma needs and medical appointments.

And then the whimpering begins...

What about tobogganing? What about ice skating. What about walking, running outside etc? Our local "guy in charge" closed ice rinks, and toboggan hills. Why? Apparently, people are not following distancing rules. I repeat - "not following the basic social distancing rules." Rules for these two examples will change very soon because they don't get to make up their own local rules.

So here we are, once again, limited as to what we, as people can do outside. Fine, I get it. In fact, I've understood this issue from the very beginning because I've been distancing from everyone but immediate family members since March of last year. When walking outside with DW, you didn't have to tell us to walk to the right, single file if someone else was coming from the opposite direction. And, when we'd see a group of people coming towards us, we'd sometimes just take to the road (where safe to do so), pass the group, then go back to the sidewalk.

As I've said around here more than once, I get it. The problem is, there are a lot of people that don't get it. It bugs me to no end to see mostly older people not wearing a mask properly. Pull the fracking thing up over your nose!! It bugs me that people don't follow the "one way" markers in grocery and pharma store aisles. I don't want people invading my 2-metre circle space. I shouldn't have to tell someone to give me more space, although I've had to do so more than once.

I get it that people are tired of Covid stats relating to infections, deaths, hospitalizations, ICUs being pushed to the max. Hell, I've got to go to the local hospital for a visit next Friday, and heck, I don't really want to - but I have to.

The problem with Covid-19, is people. Australia proved it. They shut down, forced limited interaction in schools churches, entertainment, bars/pubs etc, and it worked. Australia (along with a select few others) have proved that separation, shut down of the continent - however tough for that period - works. But we, as a people, have to take much responsibility in terms of why Covid-19 is still here. By "here", I mean wherever the numbers are now forcing elected officials to tell us once again, to "STAY AT HOME".

It's so tiring having to follow the Covid-19 messages for nearly a year, and find out many couldn't follow the most basic of instructions. And as such, we are worse off than we were with the original first wave.

The vaccines cannot come fast enough for me.

As DW works in health care with some patient contact she was classified 1A and got her first injection yesterday. In three days I should be a a 1B (over 70). As I have not heard any really bad news about it since it rolled out and her experience the first 24 hours is positive I will probably go when contacted.

LMD we all know what the deniers are and I would say that to their face but won't repeat it here.

You must feel "on edge" with your DW working in the health care field? I applaud her efforts and service.

All her hospitals were and are on lockdown so she is working from home for the last 9 months. A lot of phone calls and zoom meetings. :)
