Re taking the tapes to a digital transfer service, ya, I'm thinking that would be the right thing to do. I just hope it won't cost a small fortune. But, memories are priceless, right?

Re: Passing the Time at Home
Apparently the storm yesterday has blown the rain clouds away. Supposed to be sunny this afternoon and next couple days instead of raining!
Spare room closet might get started soon.
Golf tomorrow....
I still have little punch lists from when we moved here.

Golf? What's the temp out there? I don't see anything more than 8 or 9C out your way. That being said, if one dresses appropriately, and the sun is out (at least part/most of the time) and there's little to no wind, it's definitely doable.

Re: Passing the Time at Home
I've read that cold weather decreases driving distance. I noticed that when playing last November.
Add: I'm on a few "golf" FB groups. Some of the pictures posted of people playing in the snow are pretty funny. And, I'm not talking about a light dusting. These show some guys dragging their cards thru about 2 or 3 inches of snow.

Re: Passing the Time at Home
Yep. Some of them are down-right head-scratchers.
Today, when it starts to warm up outside, it should be a nice day for a walk. It is supposed to be around -1C, but sunny with little to no breeze. The weather guy said to enjoy this "warmer than normal weather" we've been getting here for the next 10 days or so, because the back end of this month will see the polar cold air creeping south in our direction.
And while the "eye" of this polar-vortex of cold air will settle north of where we are, we'll still be under the edges of this arctic air mass. And even being on the edge of this air mass will make it much colder than the slightly "above normal" temps we've been experiencing.
