Re: Passing the Time at Home
Nice, warm, sunny day today. Albeit, with hazy, high level atmosphere smoke. Anyway, I'm getting the whole fam-danly out for a round of golf today. I can't remember the last time all four of us were golfing at the same time.

Sounds like an adventure.
I bet it costs you a late lunch or early dinner on the way home.

Maybe not lunch, because we're ordering in tonight (anniversary). But for after-golf? At the very least, I'm leaning towards McFlurries.

Looks like it may be cool enough to rationalize making a pot of soup this weekend. Let it be so.

Re: Passing the Time at Home
Well, we're off to a greenhouse that's over an hour away to get some straw mulch bags for the garden. I used a bag of the straw mulch last year (a bit of a store here for another time), and there are apparently dealers around here, according to the GardenStraw website, but none are currently carrying it. There's "straw" bales I can get around here, but not straw mulch, which is great for winterizing some of the more delicate plants. I found a place that does carry it, and it's a bit of a drive. Not a big deal on such a nice day ahead.
