Re: Passing the Time at Home
My center of gravity is all off. Maybe I just need to go ride and get over it.

That may work, just practice somewhere where there is not to much traffic.

Every street is a highway, as you meant the term. The only streets moderately safe are the dead ends.
Methinks these people played to many video driving games.

Re: Passing the Time at Home
For us here, any road at 70km per hour or higher, is concidered a highway. Albeit 70k per hr roads are termed as secondary hwys.
For me, even the local streets can result in potential death, so i dont ride any longer.

Damned Canadians and their KM's. Made me look it up again. Though the posted speed limit in residential hoods is 40.23KM many people do drive the 70 or more.
Bikers are targets.

Re: Passing the Time at Home
It took me less than a couple weeks in AZ to get converted to mph and Fahrenheit, the way it used to be here.

Re: Passing the Time at Home
We use km/h over here to
I think you are getting it wrong, when you loose your balance on a bicycle and drive out in front of a car, it's not because the the driver of the car see you as a target, that they drive in to you, it's because you are not giving them a choice (i'm of course kiding)

Re: Passing the Time at Home
They've been on my odometer for more than 30 years. If I were driving somewhere they were used, I would learn to use them real quickly. I never drive when out of country so I don't expect to use them this lifetime.

Your province or all of Canada made the change? That I never heard about or forgot it.
