Re: Merry XMAS Everyone 2020
Normally, this time of year, as we get closer each day, we'd be saying how many shopping days are left before the Christmas. Now we're just hoping all the things we've bought online will arrive before the big day!

Covid-19 pretty much ruined this year. I hope next year will be better though I don't have my hopes up for obvious reasons. This will probably last until 2022.

Re: Merry XMAS Everyone 2020
So, today I took a drive outside our municipal boundaries to get a haircut. I missed the closing date here. So, I thought, while out, I'd buy some wrapping paper and get a Xmas card. When I came back to town, all I had to get was some groceries.
Ok, please be nice - I'm not perfect, but I am careful with Covid issues - masks, distancing, sanitizer. Heck, I pay attention to the "one way" markings on the store isle floors! Yep, I'm almost in that "age category" to get discounts on Tuesdays (or whatever day it's supposed to be) at all the stores around here. That aside, I'm the one who sometimes give "the stink eye" to those not following the floor arrows.
But, I'm not old enough - yet - to get a vaccine shot till probably early summer.
But, I digress...
In all honesty, the only difference in retail stores that are open here, and the other municipality that is not currently locked down, is that the salons/hair cutting places, and some other small biz stores here are closed. I feel sorry for them. Anyhow, I figured there would be lineups at Canadian Tire, Shoppers and the dollar store, but nope - walk in walk out - no problem.

I'm for stimulus checks especially during the holiday season so people can survive until we can fully open up. We should subsidize small vulnerable businesses so they don't go under as well.

Merry Christmas everyone. Just a quiet dinner here with the furbabies.
Ordering Xmas gifts online did not go that great but at least they are here....

Re: Merry XMAS Everyone 2020
One package (clothing) we ordered was damaged while on it's way "out for delivery", and was returned back to the store. Well, they're going to resend once it's look over for damage. We might get it a week from Friday - yup, Xmas day.
