Might have to try that when I have real tomatoes.

We use to have lamb when we were kids. Lamb chops or Leg of Lamb with mint sauce instead of regular pork chops or roast beef.
Now the only time I get lamb is at a Greek restaurant.

Lamb BhunaSlow-Cooked Lamb Bhuna - a hot curry, made by frying spices gently, before adding the meat, tomatoes and stock and then letting it simmer away in the oven until tender. It's served in a lusciously thick sauce that clings to the meat.
If you or someone in your family isn't keen on the heat you can leave out the dried and fresh chillies for a milder dish that's still super rich and tasty.

This looks interesting... Chicken Pathia
... Originating from Persia, and then adapted over time to become a British-Indian-restaurant favourite, Chicken Pathia is a medium-hot, sweet and sour curry.
It's a very popular dish with lots of flavour and a tomato-based (rather than creamy) curry sauce....

I started making something like this a while ago. The difference is the recipe I had you also put soya beans in it.
Summer Corn Salad
Sometimes we just dump a spoonful onto our green salad for extra fixins.

I'm finding that thicker cuts of steak (specifically striploin) at about 2", may sound like a lot of steak, but if I share with DW, is just about the perfect amount of beef for the both of us. And, I find the meat tastes better with a reverse sear method.
I season the thawed meat with various spices. Cook in an oven at 275 for about 20 minutes, or when an internal temp of about 90-95F is reached. For medium rare, pan sear with a cast iron skillet for roughly 8-10 minutes - flipping every 2 minutes, until an internal temp of roughly 135 degrees is reached. Then, rest it on a warm plate with a small dab of butter, covered with foil for about 5 minutes. At that point, it's pretty much perfect medium rare. If you like them rare, use less time in the oven and in the pan - taking them off at an internal of about 120 degrees.

I should have bought steak when shopping last weekend so we could try your method. It's going to be a wet one so cooking indoors will be the order of the day.

We did a fryer chicken in the crockpot on Sunday. Turned out well. Skipped the "put in oven to crisp up the skin" part due to the heat wave we are having. Lasted 2 dinners and a sandwich.
Made some coffee ice cubes night before last. Now we can have homemade iced coffee!

Going to have to get on the really "creative cooking" curve here, now that it looks like rain for the next 4-5 days.

We are having an extreme heat wave so sandwiches are the order of the day last few days. Did BBQ steak last night though.
