Re: Creative Cooking While in Self Isolation
Hoping to uncover the outdoor stuff this weekend, including the BBQ. If the weather warms up and maintains the temp they forecast, we'll get to cleaning/raking the gardens. The tender plants I covered with straw last year, and the hydrangeas covered in little critter huts, will remain in place until the possibility of frost is no longer an issue.
But first, I have to find the garden gloves, some sunscreen and the max strength Voltaren.
PS - the bunnies around here move without fear as I've not seen a coyote around for several years now. I've got to find the plastic owls with the spinney heads.

Had the big bird Turkey on Sunday. Hot turkey sandwiches last night (which I love). And I just saw something printed out waiting to be picked up by someone, of an "Impossibly Easy Chicken Pot Pie" recipe. This bird is the gift that keeps on giving.

One more night of leftovers for us.
Chicken pot pie is easy. It's the crust that is touch and go.

Re: Creative Cooking While in Self Isolation
Yesterday I got the BBQ (and all the outdoor stuff) uncovered and will be using it this weekend for junior's BD bbq. After every winter though, when I've gotten the cooking of steaks on the stove next to perfect, I have try and rethink how to cook them right on the BBQ ensuring they don't end up "blue", nor like shoe leather.

Re: Creative Cooking While in Self Isolation
All this turkey talk got me to craving so tonight I am making chicken breast hash (about the same as a crust-less pot pie with potatoes added).

The chicken pot pie froze and thawed nicely in individual servings. DW and I had some last night along with a Caesar salad side.
