That actually looks like the kind of food i would like to make.

While i don't make a lot of fancy food, this looks like something i should try out. I have tried something similar in the past, and it does taste very good :)
Do you guys have a version of Hamburger Helper?

I like the several of them but the Potatoes Stroganoff is my favorite. https://www.bettycrocker.com/recipes/po ... 8073af7d80

It is one you could wing it on if you can make or buy the sauce.

If you can find ground pork you should make a batch of your Danish meatballs as we have come to love them.

I do have a bunch of scalable recipes for basic cooking if you want something just ask.

Based on comments from DW, I suspect your ala king is close to my hash. A meal we always enjoy.

Tonight I think I am going to make an old favorite; a Hamburger steak simmered in brown gravy and onions, + veggies on the side. If you have ever bought the frozen Salisbury steak please don't think badly of this dish because of that experience. :)

DW was and currently is stinking up the whole house with that seasonal, traditional, party mix smell. She has her Mother's recipe which uses twice the seasoning and adds a bit of Lawery salt to the blend. It is an annual stink fest. At least due to Covid she is not making enough for the extended family. Some years the stink goes on forever. This year it may end today. :)

The stuff is good to eat but the cooking smell kills me.
