If available buy a can of pumpkin pie filling and a shell. Make your own. I did it for the first time a couple of years ago and it was far better than the frozen guys.

I made pumpkin pie from scratch years ago. Guess I am going to have to do it again...

Last night I made a side dish of General TSO's Cauliflower. Nope that isn't a typo. Frankly it was very good.

I was inspired by a recipe I found online but the reality of what I did was to use a grocery store seasoning packet (SunBird Seasonings) and greatly reduce the amount of oil that the initial recipe called for. The cauliflower was fried in a light coating of Olive oil until lightly browned on each side. Then the packet of seasoning made per label direction was added to the pan. This should be a much more healthy version than the batter fried recipe I found.

If you like the chicken version you will like this one.

Haven't had fried cauliflower before.

Pre pandemic the new thing in the pubs was fried Brussel sprouts.

This weekend is Canadian Thanksgiving. Turkey, mashed potatoes, carrots, cauliflower and stuffing are on the menu. Have some canned corn and frozen peas I got pre pandemic in case of a lock down so might use some of those also. Oh! and a small pumpkin pie!

Great, you found a pie.

Tommy Turkey is in the oven with a bread stuffing which includes ground pork. Will let you know how that turned out.

Here's an idea for ground beef (a.k.a. hamburger) that you could freeze for another day: How to brown ground beef for the best flavor, texture and color.

Celebrating a day early?

Monday does seem like a strange day for a non-floating holiday.

My best to you and yours. And do let us know about the pork stuffing.
