Re: Creative Cooking While in Self Isolation
I may have misstated above leftover burgers and cake I do eat. Even when I have to use the bread heels for a bun.
If we remain rain free today I may get the pleasure of staining half the upper deck in tomorrow. Maybe I will go find my moisture meter and test it.

Today, because it's cooler and little humidity - spaghetti and meatballs for din! Maybe a little garlic bread - just to get my neighbour back with the garlic.

Re: Creative Cooking While in Self Isolation
I really messed up some meatballs the other night. Now I am going to have to do it again.
I was tired of not being able to find chuck roast for less than $5 a pound so I bought and butchered one. Nothing fancy just a straight up grocery store cut across the whole thing.

Re: Creative Cooking While in Self Isolation
My slow cooked roast, taters and carrots last night were most excellent and I was craving it for a couple of weeks.
If I can't get over my crave for beef-veggie soup I may make a pot of that in this 90+ degree heat later this week.
No I gotta stop as the freezer is full.

Get another freezer. Or, get a bigger one and sell the smaller one.
Problem solved.

Re: Creative Cooking While in Self Isolation
Actually I could remove the false bottom made of milk crates and almost double my capacity but I can't reach the bottom comfortably and anything down there is lost anyway. This is the 23 cubic foot one we had when the kids were all at home and we froze stuff from the garden. As I don't hunt deer it is much too large for the two of us.
Opinion poll request for all: Do you prefer a chest or upright freezer?
