There is a recipe for suet dumplings on this page. You have to ask the butcher for the suet. It comes in a tube.

Same ingredients like a Shepards Pie but not in a casserole. All done in a pot.

Here, I didn't know it was called Lancashire potato hash. She didn't put flour in it and she added celery and spices I mentioned above. It doesn't take long. Maybe a half hour...

Okay, I'm all set for winter now. :)

I cook about anything I want but when it comes to dumplings I must confess that a tin of biscuit dough cut into thin strips is about the extent of my ability. That and homemade pie crusts are something I have not mastered. Probably just as well as I'm fat enough now.

I may have to play with one.

But, I surely hate recipes that say 2 breasts. Are they Twiggy or Dolly? I buy the full boneless, skinless breasts for cutting up and sometimes they weigh close to a pound. But for other things I use the flat cut breasts that are closer to 6-7 ounces. I can't believe they are cooking 2 pounds of chicken for four normal servings. Why can't people just put the weight in ( ) .

If you make let me know what you used in approx.weigh.

We buy a family pack of skinless boneless chicken breasts with the lowest price sticker that day. ;) If they are average size - 2 per ziplock. If bigger - 1 per ziplock for Chicken Alfredo we make.

LOL at reference to Twiggy or Dolly.

After work. If I did them while working in this heat they would kill me.

We do the same but by weight, one pound packages. Usually it will end a cut meat so a bit of knife work while packing hurts nothing and while DW is really good about eating leftovers I'm not.

Leftovers.

Two hamburgers - one for me, one for #2 son, but we're going to have to fight for the last HB bun. For sure, potato salad for me and DW, but what I'm not sure about was what she was thinking of having for din, for herself. I'm sure she mentioned something, which I'm sure I thought it was a good idea, but I cannot recall what it is.

In fact, the only thing I'm absolutely sure about is having leftover birthday cake (from yesterday) for desert.
