From scratch, some kit or defrost and heat?

Do you use breast or thighs? We tend to like the thighs better in this dish.
From scratch, yes. You can use either breast or thighs without worrying about over-cooking the meat.

When I do stir fry I usually buy a veggie blend for the wide assortment. I've thought about buying the individual veggies and making up some bags of my own blend as it takes 2 bags when my son has dinner with us. With your sons at home I suspect you make a good sized batch. If you make your own from fresh or frozen I would love more details.

Only the three of us for a few days, so the cooked portions are a bit smaller.

Usually we cut up broccoli, cauliflower, carrots with bean sprouts. Add the sprouts near the end of the stir fry so the dont get too soggy. But you are correct in that we always havs a frozen bag of mixed veggies on hand for days where we don't have a lot of time.

That is an interesting combo. I bought some sprouts to use as filler but never used it.

The Asian Medley from Aldis is quite good and reasonable for two. Broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, sugar snap (or snow peas) and they pass a can of water chestnuts over the bag. I do like the unshelled peas in the blend.

Chocolate is not my weakness. Beer and wine are my downfall. :)

All this talk about about stir fry has motivated me to create a chicken fried rice stir fry for dinner from what I found on hand.

More to follow.

Dinner wasn't bad, not great but not bad. 2 non marinated, diced, skinless, boneless thighs with fresh broccoli, cauliflower and sugar peas sauteed with onions and garlic with a sauce made from broth and corn starch with fried rice. Could have used a bit more zip probably should have marinated the chicken in Teriyaki and ginger. I was tired and lazy after futzing with the truck AC for most of the early afternoon so I barely got the chicken thawed.

And I needed to assist DW making her first batch of Oatmeal Crasin cookies as she never made my recipe before.
