Well the deactivation, is because the forum want users to confirm their new email address, so we will properbly need to live with that.

You(you to Colbyt) might need to check UCP->TAB: Board preferences->Left menu: Edit posting defaults.

I have subscribed to this forum section, so that is most likely why i get notification emails, you can also subscribe to this thread to get notification emails.

NP - I figured I'd just report it.

Sorry, check this why?

Isn't just posting in a thread an "auto-subscribing" function? Regardless, I've checked the threads I've participated in (I've posted in), and it shows that I'm subscribed. I'm just not getting any email alerts.

I've tried using two email addresses, and the only email I've gotten so far from this forum, is one email advising that my account was deactivated, which included a link to re-activate the account, which I did.

UPDATE: I just checked what you meant in the second quote above, and think I may have corrected the issue. Let's see when someone responds here next if I get an update.

The reason i just pointed you to where the problem might be, was because of privacy. Posting what settings you use in the UCP might not be something you want posted in public.

Also, i would recommend you report the post where you posted your email, to have the email removed. Since this is a forum, spam bots do come our way once in a while. Sorry about not thinking about new members not being able to use PMs. In the future, you can always post a message to the Administrator Team via our contact form(if you don't want to post it publicly).

I have removed the email from the reported post.

On the mail server i have added a dkim signature, that has made Yahoo! a bit happier about mails from this forum. I hope that will make it easier for the mail server to deliver emails, i know that mails no longer end up in the spam folder on Yahoo! emails.

By the way did you get the notification emails for replies in this thread?

Yes, I just did get an email notification for this thread - thanks for your help.

I think for now, to simplify things, I'll just continue to use a domain email. If I need to change back to an ISP email in the future, I'll let someone know about the need to change it in my profile.

That other forum is now down. Seems like they're dropping like flies these days.
