...renewed signs from mid-last week of yet another Google search ranking algorithm update from over the weekend. There is significant chatter from over the weekend with many of the tools spiking over the past couple of days.

It is hard to say exactly what is going on, like any of these updates. This one is not confirmed, but even if it was, Google doesn't tell us much. But there seems to be a lot of shuffling going on in the Google search results...

There may be a really big, maybe even massive, Google search ranking algorithm update going on right now. Starting on Friday/Saturday the chatter within the SEO community as well as the signals from the automated rank checking tools began to explode...

Update February 13th: Google has some what responded, saying "We do updates all the time."

It looks like there was a significant Google local search algorithm update starting this past Friday, February 14th, and still continuing through today. This seems to have impacted the rankings of local business listings in the Google local packs and Google Maps results...

Monday and Tuesday there was a blip of fluctuations and chatter across the SEO community around a Google search algorithm update. We have SEOs noticing ranking changes over a 24-48 hour period and some of the toolsets picked up on dense rank position changes over the past couple of days.

This does not seem big, just more like a blip for a short period of time. This is not like big unconfirmed one from the other week but it does seem something happened....

This is a weird one because I have been seeing chatter within the SEO community around a Google update starting around Sunday or Monday of this week and continuing for the next few days. But the automated tracking sensors from Mozcast, SEMRush, RankRanger and others show nothing - nothing at all.
