I have gone to local farms and bought veggies, washed them as soon as I got home and put them in Tupperware in the fridge. They last much longer than from the grocery store.
When in season I buy berries, wash them, freeze on a cookie sheet then put in an ice cream bucket. That way you can grab a handful without them sticking together in a clump. I have even frozen grapes. Friends kids use to think those were great!
