Wow - it's been while. I'm not getting email alerts on posts, so I dug out some older email alerts and here I am.

Re: Passing the Time at Home
We had a temporary issue with Spamhaus, they policy blacklisted the IP address the forum is hosted on. However, since we had done nothing wrong, i just had to ask them to remove the IP from the blacklisting, and they did so. So there should be no issues now with sending out emails.
It's however starting to annoy me. It's the second time they do that, and a policy blacklisting basically means we are blacklisted even thou we have done nothing wrong.

Re: Passing the Time at Home
Well, summer's finally here. The "feels like" temp is 40C (104F for Colbyt). Nice to be inside, even though I'm an outdoors person.
add: RE "blacklisting", I recall one of our techs saying even if a clean IP is in the same numeric range as some existing and true bad IPs, it can sometimes get snagged as bad.

Re: Passing the Time at Home
The real problem is that Spamhaus has a policy against mail servers running on dynamic IP addresses. So i have to tell them that the IP address isn't dynamic, i have been using it for years, and it has never changed. I would not be able to run 3 websites and a mail server on this IP if it was dynamic. And in my opinion, there should be nothing wrong with sending mails from a dynamic IP as long as the mail server does nothing wrong. So i believe in any event it's wrong that they policy block dynamic IPs from sending emails, when the mail server does nothing wrong. It does not make it better, that both Outlook and Yahoo! blocks emails there is policy blacklisted on Spamhaus.

Re: Passing the Time at Home
Where did June go? For that matter, where is July going??
We have been in the middle of a dry spell (weather) with some impressive heat. Not the same heat as in the southern US, or UK at the moment, but hot none the less.
This week, however, we're going to get a months worth of rain in 3 or so days. No golfing till later this week!
Am travelling domestically in a couple of weeks and don't like the increase in covid cases, hospitalisations along with increase in Monkey pox cases. We'll be in a crowded airport, leaving on a tin can crowded with at least 125 passangers, all wanting to get out for some travel regardless of whether they're healthy or not. Me personally, I'm not looking forward to this. DW, on the other hand, doesn't care, and wants to travel.
I don't foresee myself wanting to sleep in the shed over this.

Well, when it comes to your wife, there probably is less change of dying, if you don't disobey her, and do some traveling
. Of course, from a serious side, you of course need to be careful when traveling
.

Re: Passing the Time at Home
We do seem to get some warm weather once in while over here. However, it's usually only a day at the time, that does make it easier to live with
