Have you looked into offering gift cards, gift certificates and gift receipts for your ecommerce business?

Brick and mortar stores generally offer these without a problem.

Gift certificates being offered on ecommerce sites is not new. Gift cards seem like they would be a bit more difficult to offer.

Over the holidays only one site asked if my purchase was a gift. Answered yes... When the parcel arrived there was no traditional gift receipt in the package - just a form with instructions and you had to include your electronic receipt. Kind of defeats asking for a gift receipt...
