Why You Should Choose HTML5
Over

Post by Accrete »

An article by Bruce Lawson on why you should use the HTML5
element instead of
.
Browsers’ visual display of headings nested inside
elements makes it look as if they are assigning a logical hierarchy to those headings. However, this is purely visual and is not communicated to assistive technologies. What use is
, and how should authors mark up headings that are hugely important to AT users?

Unfortunately, however, no browser implements HTML5 outlining, so there is no point in using
.
made me wonder...Is the a case of when making something more accessible it also helps SEO?

What do you think?
